What are the Benefits of Personalized Medicine?

Do you know what your genes say about your risk for certain health conditions and how you might process certain medications? A physician-ordered one-time saliva test (that you administer from the comfort of your own home) is all it takes to reap the benefits of personalized medicine and pharmacogenomics. And rest assured, keeping your data and personal information safe and secure is our topmost priority.

How Pharmacogenomics for Patients & Individuals Works

Get Started

After enrolling through your employer or insurance provider, Coriell Life Sciences mails you a kit that you complete from the privacy and comfort of your home – no need to visit a clinic or pharmacy.

Sample Submission

Simply follow the instructions in the DNA test kit for taking a saliva sample and return the kit via the U.S. Postal Service with the prepaid return shipping label.

DNA Analysis

Specially-trained pharmacists from CLS’ laboratory network analyze your results to see how your DNA, combined with other factors, affects the medication(s) you take.

Results Delivery

Once complete, you will receive a notification to schedule a phone call with a CLS Program pharmacist who will review your results and may make recommendations to you and your physician.
